NOTICE OF HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the general public and all interested parties that the City Council for the City of Britton, South Dakota will conduct a public hearing at the Britton Event Center at 1203 3rd Street, Britton, South Dakota at 6:30 pm on July 7, 2025 in regards to a proposed exchange of property described below pursuant to SDCL 9-27-34.1.

The real property to be exchanged is legally described as follows:

 

The City of Britton, South Dakota is the owner of real property legally described as:

Lot 5, Britton Highway 27 Addition, Britton, Marshall County, South Dakota.

Jason and Tammy Bender are the owners of real property legally described as:

North 150 feet of the West 100 feet of Lot 7, Fortner Addition, Britton, Marshall County, South Dakota.

The proposed exchange would have the above-described property owned by the City of Britton transferred to Jason and Tammy Bender, and the above-described property owned by Jason and Tammy Bender transferred to the City of Britton. At the above stated time and place, all interested parties will be afforded a reasonable opportunity to express their views on the proposed exchange. Following such hearing, the City Council may take such action regarding said proposed exchange as the Council deems appropriate.
